Before the draft, all players should register at Draft Registration
The Goal of the draft is to find players for existing teams. Players are not guaranteed a spot, it’s only if current teams have a need for players and find a good match. We do the draft with the top teams picking first in order to allow the better players to go to better teams.
On the night of the draft all players must sign in and get a Jersey/#. We will go thru a warmup, and then have the players scrimmage.
Captains will be there to watch , and we will have a draft during the play for them to pick players. We divide into 3rds. The top 3rd pick a number for draft order and then the middle 3rd then bottom 3rd.
Once picked, we will pull players out of the scrimmage to talk to the captain. Once picked, the player either plays for that team or if it’s not a good match they can go back into the draft if its not a good fit.
Once a player has been picked and there is agreement between the player and captain, that player must play with that team for the upcoming season. You can’t come to the draft and then leave for a different team.
